Daymark is excited to engage in the stakeholder process to develop reforms to support New England’s decarbonization goals!

In October 2020, the six New England states released a “Vision Statement” outlining a new vision for a clean, affordable, and reliable 21st century regional electric grid.  The vision identifies three key areas of reform: wholesale electricity market design, transmission system planning, and governance of ISO New England.

Daymark’s president, Marc D. Montalvo, was invited to participate as an expert in the transmission planning technical forum (click here to access Marc’s presentation and a full recording of the forum).  Marc also offered comments on wholesale market design, specifically the capacity market construct.

The stakeholder process is focused on each state's electricity usage, their decarbonization goals, their views on integrating state-sponsored resources to achieve those goals, and the roles of NEPOOL and ISO-NE in facilitating system planning and market design.

For more information on this process, please reach out to our team. We are looking forward to continuing this conversation,
