Congratulations to our client, AVANGRID, Inc., for successfully completing all major permitting and starting construction of the New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) transmission line connecting Hydro Quebec and New England. Daymark was proud to support AVANGRID in its bid into the Massachusetts 83D solicitation. Our analysis showed that the NECEC, combined with the incremental hydro power from Quebec, will reduce energy costs, contribute to the region’s decarbonization goals, and provide New England with enhanced reliability and resilience against winter price spikes. These benefits will accrue to all of New England, all while providing jobs and other economic and community benefits to Maine. We look forward to seeing those benefits realized as this project is built and energized.
