John Athas draws on nearly 30 years of diverse electric industry experience to provide clients with valuable insights and strategic perspective. His principal practice areas are resource planning, utility ratemaking and regulation, and contracts and transactions. He has testified before state and Canadian provincial regulatory agencies on issues including resource planning, energy efficiency, utility restructuring utility ratemaking and competitive markets.
Mr. Athas joined Daymark Energy Advisors in 2006 and leads business development. Before joining Daymark, he worked for Cambridge Energy Research Associates, Northeast Utilities and United Technology Corporation’s Power Systems Group.
Mr. Athas holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut, an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.E. from Cooper Union.
