Daymark is pleased to announce that Marc D. Montalvo has been named President of the firm. Marc Montalvo brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in the electrical industry, in the areas of risk management, finance, market surveillance, power market design and power system planning and economics.
From 1997 to 2004, Montalvo served as managing consultant of Daymark’ Wholesale Market Analytics practice. He went on to serve for 10 years in multiple capacities at ISO New England, including director of Assessment & Investigation in the Internal Monitoring Group and director and manager in the Market Development Group, before rejoining Daymark in 2014 as vice president and principal consultant.
Montalvo becomes the third president in the firm’s 35-year history. He succeeds Daniel E. Peaco, who has served as president since 2002 when he assumed leadership of the firm from its founder, Richard La Capra. Dan Peaco will remain chair of the board, a position he has also held since 2002, and continue with his consulting practice.
Peaco said, “Marc brings a wealth of industry and consulting experience to the job, anchored by his in-depth knowledge of Daymark’ culture and value proposition. His transition from vice president to president is a key component of Daymark’ succession planning. The leadership and management positions Marc’s held during his career will benefit our firm and clients.”
“Dan remains an integral part of the firm’s consulting team. Our clients will continue to benefit from his 35 years of industry expertise solving and navigating energy-related problems,” asserted Marc D. Montalvo. “Daymark is well positioned for continued growth and success. I intend to build on its strengths and expand the firm’s leadership in planning, policy and strategic advisory services."
