Daymark Energy Advisors is pleased to announce that Marc D. Montalvo has joined the firm as Vice President and Principal Consultant.
With nearly two decades of experience, Montalvo is an established electric industry expert in areas including risk management, finance, market surveillance, power market design, and power system planning and economics.
Montalvo comes to the firm following 10 years at ISO New England, where he most recently served as Director, Enterprise Risk Management. He also served as ISO-NE’s Director of Assessment & Investigation in the Internal Market Monitoring group and as a Director and Manager in the Market Development group. Montalvo provided testimony at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on numerous occasions throughout his tenure at ISO-NE.
Montalvo is a familiar face having been a member of the Daymark Energy Advisors (then known as La Capra Associates) team for seven years prior to his tenure at ISO-NE. He served as a Managing Consultant and was responsible for Daymark Energy Advisors’ Wholesale Market Analytics practice prior to his departure in 2004. Montalvo came to Daymark with experience in power system planning at New England Power.
